Hi all,
Today I've come across a very strange issue and would appreciate any assistance.
I'm readjusting the serve controls for my Xbox controller because I keep accidentally hitting slice serves when I'm trying to hit flat serves (even when I push the control stick full right/left and not up or down at all when aiming), so what I'm trying is setting the A button to be the "add slice" input and setting the B button as the "normal serve" input. Control stick down is still the "add topspin" input. The new control scheme works perfectly fine...when I'm playing in the near court. When I change the camera to where I'm playing the the far court, the new control scheme just completely breaks. Holding down on the control stick (well, up since the up/down inputs are reversed on the other side) no longer gives me topspin on my serve, and holding A no longer gives me slice. Attempting either input instead does nothing, and my player hits a flat serve. As soon as I change the camera back to me playing on the near side, the controls work perfectly again. This makes no sense...why do the controls stop working properly on one side vs. the other??
Any idea what might be going on here? Also I'll note that returning the control scheme to the default (up for slice, down for topspin, A for normal serve) causes topspin and slice to start working again...but the whole point of this exercise is that I don't want to use the default control scheme. I usually play with the XKT mod, but I removed it and tested this again with the same results, so this tells me it is an issue with vanilla TE4.
